도쿄맛집 69 앤드 샌드위치(& sandwich) 신주쿠교엔마에

나는 아주 바쁜 일정으로 도쿄로 여행오는 친구들이 아니라면 신주쿠교엔으로 한번쯤 가보는 것을 늘 추천한다. 도쿄에는 워낙 공원이 많고 잘 조성되어 있는데 그 중에서 신주쿠교엔이 최고다. 일본의 여유로움이 느껴져서 좀 부러웠던 것도 있었다. 신주쿠교엔 앞에는 꽤 괜찮은 샌드위치 가게가 하나있다. 참 고급스럽게 샌드위치를 잘 한다. 바로 앤드 샌드위치(& sandwich)다.

일본으로 여행을 오면 일단 빵으로 된것을 시키면 거의 실패하는 법이 없다. 빵이 한국보다 압도적으로 맛있다.

사람이 행복해지는데는 큰 조건이 필요한게 아니더라. 돌이켜보면 일본에서 살 때 행복했던 추억이 참 많다. 신주쿠교엔에서의 소풍이나 자전거 뒤에 여친 태우고 다니던 소소한 데이트들, 주말에 카메라 하나 메고 산책하던 시타마치들, 저녁에 코엔지 전철길 밑에 있는 야키토리 집에서 기울이던 맥주 한잔... 지금은 그 때보다 금전적인 여유가 있는 삶일지는 몰라도 왠지 덜 행복한거 같다. 

도쿄맛집 68 시아와세노 팬케이크 오모테산도점(幸せのパンケーキ 表参道店)

오랜만에 전에 언어교환했던 나츠에를 만나러 오모테산도로 갔다. 한국어, 한국문화, 한국노래, 한국음식 다 좋아하는 아이다. 

나츠에가 좋아해서 전에도 가끔씩 들리던 수플레 펜케이크 맛집인 시아와세노 팬케이크 오모테산도점(幸せのパンケーキ 表参道店)을 갔다. 시아와세노 팬케이크는 수플레 팬케이크로 유명한 집이다. 

수플레의 부드러움에 계란과 버터의 농후함, 생크림의 촉촉함, 그리고 메이플의 풍미가 극상이다. 그리고 생각보다 달지가 않아서 수플레 본연의 맛을 잘 느낄수 있었다.  1인1메뉴하는게 좋다. 수플레 팬케이크는 크기에 비해 금방 입안에서 녹아버려서 나도 모르게 다 먹어버리게 된다. 

여기는 네이밍을 참 잘한것 같다. 먹고나면 진짜 행복해지니까. 

도쿄맛집 67 카이센동 츠지한 카구라자카 (日本橋 海鮮丼 つじ半 神楽坂店)

서울서 친한 선배가 도쿄에 출장을 왔다. 호텔이 카구라자카에서 가까워서 카구라자카로 둘이 밥을 먹으러 나갔다. 법인 카드 가져왔으니 맛있는거 먹자고 한다. 점심에 뭘 거나하게 먹는다구ㅋ. 카구라자카에도 츠지한이 있다는게 기억이 나서 카이센동을 먹으러 츠지한으로 갔다.

츠지한은 한국사람들 사이에서 워낙 유명해서 관광지 쪽은 한국사람들이 일본 사람들보다 더 많은 식당인데 여기는 거의가 다 일본 사람들이었다. 

오른쪽 부터 우메(梅, 매화) 1350엔:참치, 나카오치(참치뼈에 붙은살),오징어,청어알, 우럭조개, 소라고동, 새우, 연어알, 오이, 대파.

                   타케(竹 , 대나무) 1850엔. 우메+게, 연어알 추가

                   마츠(松, 소나무)  2500엔. 타게+ 우니추가

                   토쿠조(特上, 특상) 3900엔. 마츠 + 우니, 연어알 추가 

츠지한 카이센동은 신선하고 고급재료가 듬뿍 올려져 있어서 내가 오늘 호강하는구나 하는 생각이 절로 든다. 오차즈케의 도미국물도 진하고 맛있다.

하지만 츠지한은 한국사람들 사이에서 워낙 유명한 곳이라서 롯폰기 같은 지점은 한국사람들이 더 많기도 하고 오래 기다리기도 한다. 맛집은 분명하지만 좀 덜 기다리고 더 저렴한 다른 대안이 되는 가게들도 있으니 고려하시길. 

도쿄맛집 66 세이린칸(聖林館) 피자 나카메구로 

나카메구로에는 피자를 좋아하는 사람이라면 꼭 가봐야할 곳이 하나 더 있다. 본격적인 일본 피자의 역사가 시작된 곳이라 할 수있는 집이다. 일본 피자의 역사는 처음에는 피자헛이나 쉐이키스 같은 미국피자가 일본으로 넘어와서 시작되었다. 하지만 제대로된 이탈리아 피자에 대한 욕구가 생겨나기 시작하며 그 욕구를 처음 채워준게 1995년에 시작한 이 집이다. 원래는 savoy란 이름으로 시작했으나 지금은 이름이 바뀌어서 세이린칸(聖林館)이 되었다. 

세이린칸의 사장인 카키누마 스스무(柿沼 進)씨는 이탈리아에서 직접 피자를 배워와서 도쿄에서 피자집을 열었는데 처음부터 피자를 공부하기 위해 이탈리아로 간것은 아니고 좋아하던 이탈리아 여자를 따라서 갔다가 운명적으로 피자를 배우게 되었다고 한다. 전에 소개했던 카레 노포인 카레 본디의 사장인 무라타상도 프랑스 유학 갔다가 공부는 안하고 알바하던 프랑스요리점의 소스에 영감을 받아 도쿄로 돌아와서 카레집을 차리게 되었다고 했는데. 운명은 어떻게든 인연을 이어놓고야 마는가 보다. 카키누마씨는 이탈리아 피자를 처음 먹고는 그리움이란 감정을 느꼈다고 했다. 낭만적인 분인듯. 

이 집은 단 3종류의 피자밖에 없다. 마리나라 2,000엔, 마르게리타 2,200엔, 비아코카 2,200엔. 우린 1인1메뉴씩 시켜서 나눠 먹었다. 

여기서 피자를 먹으면 일본 피자의 역사를 먹게 된다고 나를 데려갔던 일본 친구가 말했다. 

도쿄맛집 65 Pizzeria e Trattoria da ISA 나카메구로 

의외로 도쿄에서 잘하는 음식이 피자다. 세계피자대회 챔피언들이 하는 피자집이 몇개나 있다. 나카메구로에 있는 Pizzeria e Trattoria da ISA 는 도쿄의 또 다른 유명피자집인 Napule에서 셰프로 있던 2007, 2008 나폴리 세계피자대회 챔피언 야마모토 히사노리가 연 자신의 가게다. 근데 맛있는 집은 항상 위험하다. 맛있는 집에서 먹고나면 이제 일반적인 집으로는 못돌아간다는 것이다. 여기가 그렇다. 

정말 맛있는 피자지만 이제 입맛이 그 전으로는 못돌아 간다는 단점이 있는 곳이다. 

도쿄맛집 64 니시신주쿠 카레맛집 핫스푼 (牛すじ煮込みカレー hot spoon)

보통 불리는 이름은 핫스푼(정확히는 호또스푼 ホットスプーン)이라고 불리지만 정식 이름은 '牛すじ煮込みカレー hot spoon'인데 일본어로 읽으면 '규스지니코미카레 호또스푼'이다. 뜻은 '소스지(힘줄)을 삶아넣은 카레 핫스푼' 이다.

규스지가 카레와 이렇게 궁합이 좋은지는 이 집 카레를 먹고나서야 알았다. 매콤하고 고기맛이 듬뿍나는 카레를 먹고 싶을 땐 강추. 

아직은 많이 안 알려진 집이지만 곧 한국사람들 사이에선 인기가 높아질듯.
